The Merino Collection
Why Merino Wool?
Merino wool is an incredibly soft natural fiber. It is sustainable and renewable. Producing the fabric has a relatively low impact on the earth. Merino wool is excellent at regulating body temperatures. Technically speaking, and depending on the weight of the knit, merino wool can be used all year round. For cyclists, one of the essential benefits of merino wool is its moisture-wicking properties. The fibers naturally pull moisture away from the body, which can quickly be wicked away. We designed these items with cyclists in mind, but all of them can be used for other outdoor activities or casual dress.
100% Merino vs Merino Blend
There are arguments for each side about which is better, and here's why we decided to go with the blend over 100% merino wool—using a combination of polyester speeds up drying times. This is an excellent benefit for cyclists. Using a merino wool/polyester blend adds durability to the wool. Wool can be a delicate fabric, and adding polyester to it will strengthen it up. This is important when it comes to washing. A blend can be put in the wash (gentle cycle, cold water) and air-dried. Lastly, adding merino wool to polyester drastically helps reduce the odor that 100% polyester can produce.

For our newest collab with DeFEET, we decided to design a heavier weight merino wool sock. This sock is based off of DeFeet's Woolie Boolie. The Woolie Boolie offers substantially more padding on the sole. If you're a fan of our quarter crew and no show socks, you'll love this one. A 6" cuff was added for that primo look.
